The Spring Conclave which happens most years around the first of May is a unique chance for Sifu Sheehan to teach martial material that is rare or seldom discussed. For approximately three days students are immersed in practical or philosophical concepts that are immediately useful after the Seminar. The great food, mountain scenery, and natural Hot Pools all contribute to an unforgettable experience, unlike any other.

Dr. Sheehan has conducted well over 20 Money Seminars based on Kshatriya Warrior principles which demonstrated the basics of energy at all levels.

Our School was contacted last year to teach a "Real" Self-Defense Seminar for Singles, and we jumped at the chance. Participants worked hard to learn and master some elite fighting skills that are almost unknown in the country of origin. As Sifu Sheehan noted, "you couldn't ask for a more attentive, harder-working or friendlier group of people than we had that night." It was a privilege to teach them...

A favorite activity for many Seniors is our Tai Chi Wand Seminar. One such seminar attracted members of the First Christian Church. Reports indicate that "All were had by a Good Time" and left with a practical understanding of how to enhance their flexibility and stamina.

A note to the Curious: Tai Chi Wand has nothing to do with the more widely-known Tai Chi Ch'uan exercise. Tai Chi Wand is much less complex and is more direct in its effect on the body.

The WCMA and CCMA have been holding School-wide Christmas Parties since around 1990. They have become a high point for many of our students as members from both Schools take time to reacquaint and hear about what has transpired in the previous year. Many of our students showcase their performance skills - which, in many cases - are Professional level!

Dr. Sheehan visited the Laramie Fire Department on July 28th, 2010 to instruct Firefighter/EMTs in self defense methods.

Having once been an EMT, Dr. Sheehan understands that emergency calls don't always go as planned and sometimes the rescuer becomes the victim of aggressive behavior or attack. Dr. Sheehan's theory and techniques of how to not "confront" an aggressor were understood and easily applied. He also demonstrated methods to escape from grabs, how to deal with knife-wielding attackers and Arnis stick techniques. All of the firefighters asked about the seminar greatly enjoyed the class and stated they received valuable instruction that would prove useful in the field.
